    I guess .

    While I understand this is a cull for ' conservation ' purposes , I guess I just don't get trophy hunting .

I always felt sorry for the fox in the foxhunt too .

This kinda seems like the same deal to me .

I only prefer bird hunting. Upland and waterfowl. I don't like killing something that weighs 3 times as much as me and has to be packed out of the woods in sections. Creating my own live-action version of duck hunt is much more exciting to me. Plus bird dogs are way more fun than tracking dogs.

Probably because they don't want to drag 800 pounds a few miles to their truck.

I've hunted since I was 6, and started fishing earlier than that. I never understood why people want to kill things if they're not going to eat it. I understand the trophy thing, I've killed a few nice deer and turkeys, but I always eat what I kill. I did catch an 8.5lb bass a few years ago that I didn't get to eat because I was afraid I would destroy it if I tried to skin it and eat it. The guy that mounted it kept the meat though. Any ways, I've just never been a fan of killing something purely for the sport of it. I would be interested to know if anyone has eat Mt. Lion.

Here's my best deer and the bass I was talking about.
