emeailed a guy and got this

At this moment I am in a military base getting ready for Afghanistan. This mean that I do a special training program and I am not allowed to get out of the unit or give calls whenever I want. The truck is already at the shipping company in Great Falls,MT sealed and ready for the shipping. The shipping can't be a problem because I can do it at no cost for you. You will receive the truck along with all the documents including title, bill of sale, full service records and more .Because it is a large transaction we will complete the deal only using an authorized third party like eBay, using their Business Purchase Protection Program. The payment will be handling by eBay and you will benefit of 5 days inspection period (test drive) and the option to accept or reject the truck on my expense. If you are still interested just send me your full name and shipping address. I will forward your info and they will notify you about our deal.

The text below the picture is from a text-generation script called "Lorem Ipsum". It spits out large volumes of Latin-ish text and is used by writers, graphic designers and web page designers to visually check the layout of pages with text included without having to actually type up reams of real text.

The words, when scanning across a page, appear visually similar to English so you get an idea about font, spacing and layout without too much effort.

I use a Lorem Ipsum generator at work to create pages to send test faxes to customers in order to verify their VoIP service works. It usually draws a "WTF?" from anyone who gets it, telling me they did indeed receive my test.

Unfortunately, my sister's stupid husband fell for one of these scams. They lost $5K, which he took out on a 401K loan (they don't have a lot of money to begin with). The ad was on Craigslist and they used a spoofed eBay escrow page to have the money sent. Tried to buy it sight unseen.

My parents almost fell for a real-estate scam as well but fortunately they told me about it before they tried to buy it. My mom said, "Guess what? We're moving to San Diego!!!" I'd advised them against trying to come here in the past saying it would be too expensive for their fixed income so my first thought was "oh no..., what did you find". They were claiming they were going to get a 3000 square foot home in Escondido for $800 per month. I told them "No way. My two-bedroom condo payment is about $2000 per month" I looked at it and the home sale was a finance scam. They put you in the home and charged $800 per month for the first year. After that, it went up to a normal mortgage amount. And since they weren't paying even the full interest amount on the home, that would be tacked onto the loan balance. Actual payment would have been around $3000-$4000 per month.

My advice to them was not to make any major purchases off craigslist.

I'm betting that truck belonged to the illegitimate son of a former Nigerian government official.

Have you called it yet? If it is a legit Duty Desk they might want to know that their phone number is getting passed out on the Internet.
