These cases are so rare, I'm sure the manufacturers make candy with more defects that could harm your kids. If it wasn't for the internet nobody would be as paranoid unless this actually happened to someone in your home town.

My neighbor came over on Halloween night to bullshit and he's Nevada Highway Patrol and told me about how a buddy of his who is a metro cop here arrested 3 guys last year. One for handing out pot candy to 3-5 year olds and the other 2 for luring children in their house cause the candy was in the front room. Both of them were convicted child molesters. I remember when I was a kid the streets would be filled with kids, now I can see why many choose to go to church or school carnivals instead of the traditional door to door.

    RIGHT?

I always imagined it being bit down on and having the cutting edge aligned between my teeth and going straight into the gums and jaw.

I hope he paid extra tax for that large of a soft drink. He's ruining our healthcare system with his bad, fat guy decisions.

I Always check my kids candy, not that difficult to do and worth the time. I couldn't imagine the guilt I'd carry if either of them ate something and got poisoned.

I also minimize the amount they can keep, they collect just way too much of it.

Some may call me over protective; I call it just doing my job as a caring parent who actually gives a damn. Surprises me the amount of parents who don't.

We'll limit how much they keep, too.. or if we can help it how much they get in the first place.

Blue usually is poison of some kind. My parents always checked my candy too when I was a kid. People are fucking sick bastards. I would be out for blood if I had kids and someone tried to poison them.

There was some guy here in town poisoning dogs in people's yards and he would throw bread over the fence stained with these blue spots of some kind. Killed lots of dogs doing it, they never found him. If I caught him on my property trying to poison my dogs, he wouldn't make it off my property alive. I don't take kindly to trespassers or fucked up people like that at all and I wouldn't hesitate to put a bullet in his head if I caught him in the act.

My son had a loose molar last night and I took your idea but used some wonka taffy. Had him warm it up in some water and bite down on it and let it cool. When he pulled it out his tooth came with it. Dental Candy :woot:
