    Cracked "Truck Shop Gussets"
The crack is on the driver side, it's not in a critical area. I'll have to grind out the cracked part of the weld and put a bead back down.

Someone that's knows someone that owns or runs a Fab shop should talk them into designing some weld on gussets and have them make some sets for sale.
    Never gonna happen, but :fingerscrossed:

So what's the consensus here? Do the spindle gussets really help with keeping the spindles straight? And if so, the TC sway bar version is the way to go? I don't think I recall seeing any failures in this thread with the sway bar version, but only the non-sway bar version.

Yes they do help keep the spindle straight.
Yes, only use the sway bar compatible version.

Good deal. I've got me a spare set of spindles, just need to buy the gussets and weld them on.

    this and that
After reading all 15 pages, plus the post about race team abuse from TTORA.
I figured I’m good with a stock spindle. Seems to me that once you eliminate a part or system that’s designed to flex and move, you add more stress to other parts or points. If the whole system is designed to flex as a whole, I would rather keep it that way.
A good point was said that, rather replace a dent part than a broken part, I can drive to safety with a bent one.
But I am a bit curious as to what caused these parts to crack or break? What are you guys doing to cause these issues? High speed jumps, low speed crawls?

far more people have been stranded with bent undrivable spindles than broken gusseted spindles. I won’t get into the rest of the questions since they’ve been beat to death on here

also find me a pic of a broken spindle with total chaos’s newer style sway bar gussets.
