    Is this too severe of an angle on the sway bar end link? Should I get a spacer and try to bring the bolts more to Plumb ?20200517_155333.jpg but then it will be farther away from the contact point of the sway bar?

    It looks to me like if you put a very small spacer on the end with the washer(between the heim and washer) it would allow the heim to have a little more travel and possibly not bind, you would want the spacers OD to be the same size as the spacer you have between the heim and swaybar which would allow it to misalign a little more. Judging by the fact that the washer is bent I think the spacer you have between the swaybar and heim should be good enough.

    @Anderson5290
    what size tires and back space do you have?

    I'm looking at doing the swaybar version but the TC warning about backspacing has me wondering, since I have aftermarket wheels and dont know width, BS, and offset yet.

    I have factory wheels and a 1 inch bora spacer And there is enough clearance between them. You could get by with a 3/4 spacer but for sure nothing less than that.

    Had to take one off to see (they were on it when I got the truck.

    16x7 +30
    Backspace is 4.75"

    I have 1 inch from wheel to brake line bracket, .4" fron tire to spindle. At closest point

    And I’m guessing you were trying to run the wheels alone without the spacers with the gussets??

    that's my hope. I dont want spacers as I really like the look i have.
    I took the swaybar off this morning, I'll see how I like it before deciding. I can always go non sway bar with added gusset on the steering part

    More carnage, on to design #3 with the JD Fad ones. The old ones are bent ~3/8” from the hub mounting surface to the UCA bolt hole compared to the new ones.

    Wonder if they'll spring back, if you cut the gussets off? On the older ones.

    At what point do you just pony up and buy some camburg spindles? If there’s anyone that could benefit from them, it sounds like it’s you lol

    Good question, trekker has stated repeatedly in the JD thread that they are not needed, but I am not so sure. Not taking in to account my time, it would take another 5 pairs of spindles and gussets to pay for them though. I haven't had a catastrophic failure, so I take that as a win.

    Nice, I carry a pair to Moab and such when I plan on hammering on the rig, along with a spare diff, but not everyday.

    Maybe not needed as you've clearly made it this far but still, your time is worth something too. Just my unsolicited thoughts on it. Took me going through three steering racks before I'd had enough and jumped to a Tundra rack with heimed tie rods. Expensive, but it's nice to just not worry about my steering anymore.

    No doubt, if these ones give up the ghost I may reconsider. These will be paired with an LC200 rack for that reason as well.
