For a 2019 SR5 4x4, it applies to only the front driveshaft.

So in follow up to my post yesterday (where I said I greased 3 zerks on U joints) I managed to find the other 2 that I couldn't find yesterday. I have a 2016 DCSB, so I do have all 5. Really odd how the rear (behind the T case) is a two part axle. I don't think I've owned a truck like that before. The front axle is oddly thin as well.

Anyway, the two on the front axle are in the middle of the U joint assemblies, whereas the 3 on the rear assemblies are on the side of the U joint. At first I thought one of the front ones would be for a slip yoke, but no, grease immediately came out the u joint assembly seals, meaning it was not going into the axle. Do these trucks not have slip yokes? I'm super confused.

    It's under the rubber boot.

thanks, to clarify, on the front drive shaft it's under the boot? Is there one under the boot on the rear? Also, this means there are more than 5 total.

No zerks for them; you can disassemble, clean and re-grease if you want. Ford XG-8 grease is what you want to use there.

19 OR 4v4 DC AT 3k miles - No rear zerks, just two up front. A couple pumps and they had grease coming out. How long should I expect the non-greasable joints to last in the rear?

    Depends...
On 2nd gens, I've read claims of anywhere from 50,000 to 200,000 miles.

Toyota claims these are "lifetime lubes" which we all know if BS. Soooo I think things will get interested in 10 years when many slip yokes cease up. Pretty thrilled with my 2016 right now that has zerks all over the place.

Yes, you gave two on the front shaft, and none on the rear shaft assembly.

Just checked my 2018s two greasable Us, Both required about 4 pumps before any grease began purging from the seals. There was very little in there..

I am very new to this so please pardon any stupid questions. Do we pump until purge everywhere or are there places where we need to worry about hydrolocking?
