Hello all! Just signing up for yet another forum :). I'm coming from a '09 Rock Warrior Tundra (5.7L CMax) with plenty of stuff (3/1.5" level, dual in/out Magnaflow exhaust, Alpine HU/Amp/Sub + Memphis speakers, Ranch Hand Grill guard, LED lighting, blah blah...) that I absolutely loved but had racked up 100K+ miles on and started to fall in love with the '16 Tacoma for it's practicality and ability to fit in a garage since I moved over the summer to a new house where I don't fit (hight or width) with the Tundra and hated parking outside.

I found a good local deal (after searching for weeks in other states) that came up for a 2016 TRD Sport Tacoma with 4,000 miles selling as new since some nut managed to rack up that many miles without paying for it from the dealer, strange story but they gave me a discount and a good trade-in for my Tundra that other dealers were lowballing. So far I'm happy but in the adjustment stage from full size to mid size. Storage, visibility, power, etc. No more racing Mustangs off the line :burnrubber:.

Anyway, pics because they should almost be required:

With the one small exception of a '07 Jeep Wrangler (drove it like twice), I've only had Toyota trucks since I started driving and I've been very happy with them. I was on Tundra Talk for a few posts but most of what I do is IT (I'm an IT specialist for a local church) so 90% of my forum time is done on Macrumors as of late or XDA developers in the past. But I'll be around here for the next many years I presume.

Don't see enough reds around where I'm at... have a blue, but do like the red and inferno very much as well.
Welcome and enjoy your new whip!

Thanks! And yeah, the dealer isn't too fond of that guy now. He'll probably be on some kind of list at this point. My family does a lot of business with the guy that sold it to us and he was saying it's happening a bit more often than not nowadays. Very frustrating for them.

Mine is only the second 2016 Tacoma I've seen not on the lot so far (even then there were only 4 at the only dealer in town, half were 2wd). Red is by far my favorite color and I have red on just about everything :D. I really wish the TRD Sport was available with the red stitching and accents on the interior rather than just the graphite but oh well. The first Tacoma I test drove at the dealer was a SR5 with the red stitching and accents and it looked pretty sweet. But I'll take the TRD over the SR5 with that single option gone since I get so much other stuff with it. The first one I spec'd out on Toyota's site I opted for Inferno with the black/orange stitching on the interior and it looked amazing. But this one was too good to pass up and it's beautiful.

Thanks all for the welcome! First "mod" or rather addition is going to be some better floor mats. I loved the ones in my Tundra, though I forgot what brand they were since I never stare at them. Pretty sure they were Husky. One time I had a milk jug leak and it caught all of it with it's raised edges so I simply dumped it out and hosed it off. Well worth it in the winter with all the melting snow and salt junk too. Don't want that on the carpet :) Then maybe some kind of tonneau cover like I had on the Tundra. It was the roll back with velcro style so it flapped a lot in the wind but wound all the way up as opposed to the folding hard cover ones that take up precious space unless removed. I lost half a foot of bed length so I don't think I'll go that route just yet. Luckily I don't use it more than once every couple of weeks anyway. Firewood and moving random stuff mostly.
