Around here, I'm seeing DCLB TRD Sport 4x4's for $35-36k. So, $10k less for a 2009 with exactly the features I'm seeking was attractive.

If I knew what city/state I could find the cheapest price, that's something to consider.

I don't know how the regions work, but it appears as if different regions get more of the double cab long beds. I looked for over 6 months to find one here (arizona) used and even new the dealers only had like 1 or 2 on the lots.

But every time I go to CA it seems that all I see driving around are DCLB.

Wow. As someone who just bought a 2012, I can tell you that average sticker prices for DC 4x4 TRD OR or TRD Sport here in my area were in the $30-32K area. (Although I was only looking at Magnetic Gray or Black)

Yeah, here in the DC Metro area, you almost NEVER see the DC long bed on the road, let alone at dealerships -- I actually thought they were extremely limited in production until I saw some in other areas while traveling and thanks to this discussion board.

SE Toyota is apparently very proud of the DCLB's with TRD. The $36k varieties tend to have the $1900 Entune option, which really does not interest me. If I end up going back to the "new" route, I'll probably have to order one to get specifically what I want. Not sure of the price negotiability factor, if that happens, though. I hate car shopping.

The '09 isn't exactly what you want. Tell the dealer you'll wait for the '13's so work that angle for a really good deal. I like the Timberland better myself. Good luck.

Rear Leaf spring TSB, Bilstein 5100's all around w/ front set at 1.75", 265/75R/16 Mickey Thompson Baja STZ's, Trailer hitch w/custom wiring, AFE drop in dry filter, Rear Diff breather mod, Debadged truck, customized stock TRD wheel center caps, added factory fog lights, bed mat, door sills, tinted windows
I have had my truck since Aug. of 08, and have only seen 2 other Timberland Micas running around Florida. I drive to Tampa every two months, Jacksonville a couple of times a year, and Miami or south FL every couple of months so I get around and I just never see them. Same story with most guys with TM color trucks. Very rare color so I am sure it will be hard to find used. I did like the spruce in person, but overall TM is the best! :D Good luck, it will be worth the wait if and when you find one.
