Didn't realize people lusted after the trash can Honda Civic sound... Thought that was just 17 yr olds with their first job

I liked it, my stepfather hated it. It was somewhat tiresome listening to it on a road trip from Oregon to New Mexico though.

I say if you wanna do it, do it. You can always change it later if you don't like it.

    : )B

Oh, and post up a video if you do do it so we can hear!

I had a 86' 22r with stacks back in the day and it sounded like shit but I thought it was cool because I was 20. You might feel the same about your cherry bomb it all depends on what you think sounds "good". I find them to be loud and raspy but not a lot of low down rumble if that makes sense. I would try Black widow mufflers for loud and good sound they have lots of options.

Like any other 4 cylinder you cut up the exhaust on it’s going to sound like an angry hive of bees in a coffee can. Loud exhausts are pointless.

Toytec coilovers. Height adjustable Bilstein's. 265/75/16 MT. TRD wheels. Rebuilt r150f. Marlin clutch kit. All kinds of new parts...
Get one of those annoying ass burble tunes as well. Be a real d-bag in residential areas. Lots of people will love it. Since this is a matter of opinion and seems to widely vary based on your age - Hell no. 4 cylinders are meant to be seen - not heard.

I think the best muffler for a Toyota 4 cyl is a plain old off the shelf turbo muffler that has a fiberglass packed chamber. You get some more volume and rumble but it's not as ear splitting and raspy as a straight through glass pack :)

Cherry Bomb, Thrush, and Flow tech all come to mind

Here's a video of a 3rz truck that might help you install with sound clips at 4:50 and 5:35ish. Your 2rz will sound a bit different

I don't like noise pollution. Please don't. Just add rock lights and call it good.

I laughed. At his reply not at your truck. I don’t care what paint folks have, even blueberry lol.
