Mine will just barely scuff the shackle hanger under hard axle wrap, so building a trac bar to fix that haha. Could also just bump up to a 5" shackle to give me a hair more room

I’m running the 5” shackles that come with a Chevy swap kit at ride height they’re sitting at 35 degrees. I tested the compression with only one leaf in the pack. With a 5” shackle and single leaf, the leaf started to invert quite a bit before it got close to the shackle hanger. A 5”er may be the way to go.

this my shackle at ride height

I wouldn’t try to find an exact number. It may work for you but it could also mess your axle alignment up, (different leaf spring measurements)I would use the tried and true method of a plumb Bob to mark where the factory location is. Then, get it all apart and disassembled. Go from that plumb Bob mark (on the frame) to lay it out. Tack weld it to hold it and then check your measurements again. (While leaf springs are hung from mounts) I just did it to my 1st gen and used measurements from the internet and due to my slightly different leafs I went with, they had my axle too far back. I only tack welded the mount in place so it was easy to fix.

My bad lol. I didn’t read the whole thing, I saw a tag for me and just went to the beginning.

awesome, good to see you got it done. I loved the improvement it made. Definitely gonna do it to my 3rd gen too.

Yeah the improvement in ride quality is much better! The bed of my truck barely moves when I go over speed bumps, before with my deavers it felt like they launched the bed of my truck everytime I went over a speed bump. Lol.

Definitely! And it can haul some loads too, barely even notice any squat with the rtt and bed loaded down. Not to mention it keeps that rear tire planted and spend less time on 3 wheels lol

Yep as @Buttskevin21 said Ruffstuff but make sure you also get the outriggers as they are not part of the kit.

I have a friend with the swap done and he keeps grenading the rear drum piston from the parking brake cable pulling at full droop. Any recommendations on extending it?

On mine I had to totally disconnect the cable from the frame (its bolted to the top of the frame in 1 spot), and just had the cable zip tied up so it didnt hang low at ride height.
