If you mount Chevy 63 leafs, are they going to be shorter than the standard stock tacoma leafs found in an extended cab?

Also, will the leaf spring rear shackles be in the same place if you place Chevy 63's versus stock tacoma leafs?

Is it possible to bob 13-14 inches from a first gen bed with Chevy 63's?

    1. No, they are a longer spring than a Tacoma spring. My taco springs are 57", so 6" shorter than the chevys.

    2. For a chevy setup, you'll need to cut off the front spring perch and relocate it forward to keep your axle in the right spot. Every spring seems to be different, so you just need to cut the old one off and eyeball/measure to find the right spot to weld on the new one.

    3. Since the bed has nothing to do with your suspension, you can do that just fine. That being said, your rear spring hangers will probably have to be relocated. If you're going to go 63s, I'd do that before cutting your bed to see how everything lines up.

Actually, depending on the year of your tacoma, they will be 3'' long or 6'' long.

98-04s have longer leafs, 3'' longer, then 95-97s.

sorry if this is a rude question but why? i remember using them back in the day on my yota, but that was before all these companies making kick ass springs. now i would just buy a good spring and not mess with the chevy swap.

Probably dirt cheap from a junkyard and still good, I'm more of a fan of kickass springs though :D
