Any other Traverse owners out there with the dreaded “shift to park” error?

Yes I should join a Chevy forum but I’ve read up extensively on this and understand the potential failure modes, the fixes, and that there’s a TSB.

Just curious, for anyone who’s dealt with this, how many fixed it with the additional short wiring harness alone, and how many had to actually change out the shifter assembly? Trying to gauge whether I want to try to attack this myself or go for some relief from Chevy with a polite corporate inquiry. This issue is super widespread and also a potential safety/theft hazard because you can’t lock the car.

No rocket science involved but I really don’t want to get all the trim pieces off to get to the shifter.

If anyone happens to stumble across this thread because they own a Chevy with this issue, PM me. I ordered the parts for $50 and performed the TSB, eliminated the issue. Couple gotchas but not too difficult.
