Hey now, I do own one of those. I think it pretty decent to drive. Like it better than the Chevy Traverse (pile o shit) that we had.

Yeah it stinks, I actually had Thomas in Joliet look at it in June when I went in for them to cut/program me a key(long story) and they said it passed and needed the undercoating. I never scheduled it and when I called last week they didn't have any knowledge of it in their system, and refused to offer me a loaner while they were doing the work which from everything I have read, they should. I called Naperville and they said they would do it and offered a loaner without asking so that will be the last time I go to Thomas.

As far as the Rav, it seems like a nice car, I just dont like the way it shifts all of the time and is pretty gutless. I am sure once I got used to it it wouldn't be that bad, and the quality of everything seems good. My wife and I are both pretty much a Toyota family, we have had a Yaris, Scion tC, Corolla, and she now drives a Highlander and I have the Taco, besides this frame issue, we have had 0 issues with any of them.

Alright ladies and gents. Joe and I will be running a pelfreybilt group buy for local guys since they have their Black Friday deals. We will be going through Chitown 4x4 to save on shipping for everyone. You will have to call pelfreybilt and order through them and mention its for the Chitown group buy. You can then contact Joe to go pick it up and put your share in shipping since Joe will be taking care of that. If the item you want is not part of Black Friday. Email Joe at sales@chitown4x4.com. This is nice of Joe since shipping individually would be a lot. Any questions feel free to contact Joe or myself.

Yes. Make sure you say it's for the Chitown order. It will all go to joes company and you can pick it up from him and pay your share of the shipping cost which would be less than what it normally would

Well it looks like I am getting my frame replaced, has anyone else on here had it done yet? It was bad enough where they don't want me to drive it, so I am in a loaner for an estimated 6 months which really sucks, especially with winter coming! I already requested a different loaner, hopefully they can get me in a new Tacoma or a 4Runner.

Yeah, the actual replacement of the frame only takes a couple of days, the problem is they are so back-ordered that it is estimated 6 months from when they place the order until when they actually arrive at the dealership. From what I have read, some dealers are letting people keep their truck during the wait time, others are not.

For sure, I definitely get why why do it, it's a huge liability for Toyota if something would happen because of the frame after they knew there was an issue. I requested a Tacoma or 4 runner as a loaner to replace the Rav4 I am driving the service adviser said she will see what she can do.

You can buy fluid film at AutoZone. Do it yourself....takes 4-5 cans. Spray everything but the exhaust. It takes 15 minutes.

Yea I did it with undercoat after cleaning the bottom thorough and then did fluid film on top of that since you're able to paint on the undercoat
