My truck is at Naperville waiting for the frame to come in. I would appreciate it if you could answer a question about your experience with them. Did they charge you to swap out the UCAs? I plan to do the same. Thanks.

Well since they have to take it apart I don't see why they would. It would be a lot easier. I know some people who have had lifts installed when doing this and probably saved a lot more than having them do it later. I'd say call and ask. Say you have new upper control arms that you want to replace the new old ones with and I'm sure they'll help you out or give you a quote. Worst case scenario you have some guys over for a wrench night.

I did call and was told it would be at a reduced rate whatever that means. I'll be at the dealer again on Monday to try to get an actual quote. Wanted to know what others are paying for comparison is what I'm trying to do.

I got mine from cvj axles, is is a rebuilt oem, and you send yours back as a core. The boots are a little different ribs aren't as close together as the stock so they aren't close to rubbing. If you have any questions or want help, let me know. I did it by myself in my garage in a few hours with mostly rented tools from autozone.

We could all meet up at cruise night in Plainfield sometime, might be a nice change from all of the Mustangs and camaro's haha. It would be cool if we could get a bunch of us there!

Honestly I never spoke with my service rep about it. I took the box right to the tech and asked him to do it, he said the only extra work is popping the ball joints out of the spindles since he would normally leave them in. Jamie is the only guy there that does frames I believe and he was great, I was there three separate times while my truck was apart talking to him and asking questions. It was the first time he had ever done the light racing arms, but he said they were really easy to align once he read the instructions.

There are a couple club owned areas down soutb that you either have to be a member of or know someone to go. Theres pictures of the terrain over on pirate, some crazy looking stuff.

So I just ordered my cv axles through NAPA with heavy duty thermo plastic boots. Is this a good boot? No core charge so I keep my old ones.
