I am trying to find some meet ups in my area though, I know there's no were to offroad in the midwest really, aside from parks like cliffs insane terrain or river road rally park. I dont know how I feel about testing the truck on some man made offroad tracks designed to push your truck to its limit. I would enjoy going for some scenic routes and some creeks and mud :D planning to move out west in 2 years, cant wait.

There's the badlands too, little further. That's more open area and also small trails but I hate the sand, feel like it would destroy things on my high mileage truck.
I think I'm just not ready to hit a tree or scratch it super bad on a branch yet! Or worse haha Still owe money on it.

    Nice! I’m a Durand/Pecatonica native.

There’s not much around for fire road trails. Maybe the trans-Wisconsin...

Stay far, far away from the cliffs in that truck

My uncle goes to the cliffs in some cherokee beater. He was like being your tacoma your truck would be great here. I'm like dude I am not taking it there, I have seen videos. This truck doesn't belong there. I could go to badlands. But I haven't read much about how to prep for sand and what to clean after.

I've been there. It's rough, after it's rained, every trail becomes a hard blue minimum. Even in the dry it takes some skill and sense. Definitely a more hardcore place.

Yeah, I can't take my baby there lol. I had an opportunity to buy a 300$ 02 grand cherokee good shape, planned to lift and be offroad meshing around truck. But it would take too much time and money away from the Taco. I'm slowly building for when I move West, Colorado/Oregon, That area.
