I think they do undercoating. The do alarms too....a bunch of car stuff. It’s on Ogden and aurora. I think they technically changed their name but if you goggle them it still comes up as ziebart

Ya I recognized the name as an undercoating company, which is what threw me off, but looks like they do spray in bed liners, etc. you name it.

Ziebart in Franklin Park. They did mine years ago. Holding up great. The dude that works there that did mine is a TW member IIRC.

Nice, bit of a drive for me unless I do it after school one day. Thanks for the recommendation!

What the hell is with the drivers here? I've been gone for 10 years last 5 in AZ and I still know how to drive in the snow. Attempted to try to go to school today and had to cut my losses and turn around, literally made it 5 miles over 40 mins.

Ha, yeah people here seem to over complicate driving once the snow hits. And that’s just here around our burbs. I couldn’t imagine how it is in the city.

I was amazed how many cars I saw in the ditch. I thought maybe I could get past 34 and route 30 and it would clear up but nope. Checked my Waze driving app and saw it was 8-16 mph all the way to Downer's grove all routes and flipped a u turn. Oh well, it was just open lab today anywho.

Wow no shit. I think the reason why it was a complete dumpster fire out there was because the salt trucks didn’t make their way out to prep for all this.

Yep, roads were still covered in ice and snow, then you had the knuckleheads causing accidents, etc. I live at the intersect of Douglas and 34, I tried 34 and Wolf to try to get to 30 and took me 42 mins before I decided this was a fruitless effort. Some scary people out there that have no business driving in these conditions. Speaking of, need to consider moving to a better tire/AT.

I know exactly where your at. I agree with you completely about other people. I unfortunately see it wayyyyy too often the end result from people’s stupidity, lol. Where is your school at? Also, I was just thinking a couple days ago about switching to an all terrain tire.....

Loyola's Downer's Grove Campus, I usually can go either 88, butterfield, 34 or 75th all of them looked terrible and all of which required me getting past or onto 30 first which wasnt happening, lol. Eh, no worries get to study from home today. I have the sketchy street tires on mine, theres like no miles on them and would hate to toss them, but would definately feel better with a decent snow AT like some wildpeaks.

Stayed in Glenview Best Western last night. Been to 15-20 different BWs and that was hands dow the best and the cheapest. Love the area. But fuck this snow, I was not emotionally prepared for this lol

And it was our first big snow/ice for the year, so everyone acted like they have no idea how to drive in it. Sorry bud. Glad you had a good rest of your visit.

My wife and I were joking about this, since when did this place turn into Georgia when dealing with snow? It wasn't even that much, saying that took a 9am flight to florida this morning so I didnt get to see the full wrath of the storm.
