Crete is really close, like 3 minutes South and 57 is like 6 miles west.

I saw that soft topper you were selling. I've been waiting but that was for a short bed and and I'm always broke. Lol how did you like that? Idk i want to go that route or build a bed rack with a cloth material over it. But a lower bed rack for a rtt.

So the guy I sold it to is somewhat of a local guy to us, he lives in Utica by starved rock. Cool dude, good people.

So I did honestly did like it a lot. I always wanted one and waited for a good deal and more specifically a 3rd gen topper. Yes a 3rd gen topper on a 2nd gen. Dispite what Softtopper says about them being the same minus the rear bar that secured the rear window to the top of the tail gate. They do fit just a tad different. The 3rd gen top on a 2nd gen fits sleeker. It just looks better. There are even a couple threads on this very topic.

So anyway, I got it, did like it. But I got this sport truck look thing going on with my truck. To me the look of it with the topper takes away from that. I know stupid perhaps but it’s just what I wanted. In the end, I absolutely didn’t need it....just “always wanted one” so it was something that for me was no biggy if I let it go.

As to the use of of. They done leak at all. There are guys that do use them as their primary top while camping. It folds up nicely like a Jeep soft top if you are familiar with those. It can be completely removed in a matter of minutes too if you needed to take it off. I would/will absolutely get one again if I were gonna put a top back on.

My buyer contacted me a couple months after he took it off my hands letting me know he was gonna sell it to help fund his wedding, he never even used it. It was practically new when I got it. I can see if he ever sold it if ya need.

No worries, thanks for the info. Idk what direction I'm going with that. My main goal is to go on a 6k-8k road trip in 2 or 3 years. I like seeing the soft topper over the rtt but idk if I'll do that. We'll see when the time is right.

My trucks currently a half finished frame. The engine is mostly together with fully forged internals. $$$ is the issue to finish the truck lol
