Agreed. Plus you've got major hubs for both United and Southwest. People are always talking shit on O'hare but I've honestly never really had problems getting in, out or through O'hare, Maybe I've just been lucky. It is kinda spendy to fly into Chicago though for whatever reason and O'hare is definitely starting to look dated.

Hey I have clinical there (Silver Cross). Good hour drive from me here in Oswego, didn't realize it was that close to the airports, O'hare is an hour for us and midway slightly more.

Pros: Airports, Lakefront, Food, Sports culture, Motocross Tracks within 3 hours, high wages/ good jobs, fertile soil, seasons...kinda, and hunting
Cons: Rust, traffic, income taxes, property taxes, taxes on your taxes, weather, no elevation, sky is grey 65% of the year, no mountains, no desert, no ocean, crowds

This place blows for Motocross, I had 2 tracks within an hour of me when I was in NJ, 2 more within 2.5 hrs. In AZ, I had at least 3-4 within an hour, 6 in 3 hrs, all hard pack though which I wasnt a fan of. East coast tracks the dirt was like cake, loved it.

Agreed, just need to finish school and outta here, been fluid filming and trying to keep the rust at bay on my new taco. I will say rust here, but holy paint and windshield chips living in AZ.

I have Joliet MX 25 mins from me which is awesome for during the week and I am a VIP there so ride most days when people are not there (I work nights). Within 1-3 hours we have: Byron, Sunset Ridge, Mt Carroll, Leisure Time MX, FMX Paradise, Motoland, Martin, Redbud, Lincoln Trail, Sugar Maple (little far), Log Road... Lot of places around man within 3 hours, but it could definitely be better!!!

Really, when I was looking at moving back home I only saw Joliet MX as an option within an hour or so. I'll have to look at the others when I dust the old girl off and get back to it.

Dude from Oswego go to Byron and Sunset Ridge. Sunset is renowned for its nes-quick like soil and Byron is fun... but IMO Mt. Carroll is seriously like within the top tracks in the country.... many feel that way but some think I am crazy. It is so so so good. Big jumps elevations flowy layout, technical features. It is a track that like first few laps you are like WOAH... not sure I can do this... but then once you find the pace/flow it is unreal!

Yeah those long grey winters are pretty brutal. Plus that wet cold that chills ya to the bone no matter what you wear.

You would not believe the varience in soil/tracks though all in this 3 hour bubble, from deep sand at Motoland and Leisure Time to rich tacky black dirt at Byron and MC motopark the midwest is kickass for if you ride

Ya that was great about NJ, you'd get a wide variety from cake to hard pack to sand in DE.

School first! I rode on Tuesday at Joliet and the thought hit me on the way there "hmmm do I want to end up in a hospital right now..." good luck man. I will be riding through the pandemic at Joliet on occasion just to keep from going stir crazy... cannot help myself... plus I have a desk job so I can be a little beat up

My crew wants to take an East Coast mototrip. Talk to a few guys on here and on Thumper that rave about those tracks. SO many gnarly riders from out there.

Yep when I was active duty I'd ride 3 times a week, even had my first air evac / life flight to the ICU on tricare's dime back in 2014 (got landed on after losing it off a double double). I still have great insurance, but can't risk injury with my program. Stay safe dude!
