    I spent two years in Valpo in NWI and then two years in Tinley Park before leaving Chicagoland for some land SW of Rockford. Not going to miss the greater Chicagoland but no regrets on not leaving the state entirely though. Every state gets you one way or another financially or socially. I lived in Indianapolis for 6 years and enjoyed the city but it still had problems too and sucked socially with some really annoying liquor laws and bible thumping. Wisconsin's taxes aren't much different that Illinois either, I think the total tax burden is around .75% less in WI...

    i am going to check on the wheeling scene in the middle of Nebraska soon, lots of miles of atv, jeep and light truck trails, mostly sand through whatever forest trees can grow in that soil out there lol
