It will be a while before we do ours. Most likely we are headed back to FL next summer. Once we have our new place wife wants them. So that's most likely when we will be getting ours.

We got our first brood of eight on 7/7. When we picked them up at the post office, three of the chicks were dead and one was on her way out:( The four that survived are doing great:thumbsup: One Sussex and three Easter eggers. We have six more that shipped today to replace the four that didn't make it. I don't really want ten, but I do want more than four. Two of the six are Jersey Giants:D I can't remember what the wife ordered for the other four:notsure: She is more into this than I am. But I can't say I'm not interested in them.

Yes. Apparently they are the only delivery service that does that.
As a side note I blame our dead chicks on USPS.

My wife is all into it, once we get moved next year she has the chicken coop and all picked out. Not sure how many she will get to start but probably not more then 4-5 of them. Her aunt has a bunch and her cousin has like 50 of them TONS of fresh eggs from that. Had some this past weekend. SOOOO GOOD.

Its a pain to go find places that have farm eggs so I get the store bought...not great but they are eggs. I do like the farm eggs though.

I live in a Rural area so I have several local places for Farm Eggs and the are inexpensive too, $1.50- $2 a dozen.
