My wife scrapes a bar of soap with her fingernails to get soap under her nails before working on the car. This makes it harder for grease to get under her nails and easier to clean up after.

That's an interesting. I just use nitril gloves these days. As a therapist if I show up to work with stained hands my clients give me an interesting look.

Amazing idea. Never thought of that! When I don't wanna wear gloves, I'm gonna try that :D

I've not gotten far with my truck currently. Slowly but surely, and will post on my build thread. But, I HAVE taught the bf how to change disc brakes, suspension and some other things.. I'm about to show him how to do the rear drums and spark plugs soon :cookiemonster: +1 to engineers and fabricators, male or female :welder: You are the inspiration for me as a mere diy'er with the best free teacher (TW) and YouTube helps sometimes....

I've tried wearing gloves, but I end up taking them off because I lose the feel that I've grown accustomed to.

    :rofl:You win, lol.

I've worked at the same place for 10 years with all males and they still comment on how awesome it is that I do my own work on my vehicles, dirt bikes and jet ski. I'm always like meh, it's just the way I grew up, I don't think it's anything special. It's still bizarre to me that most women seem so helpless when it come to mechanics. I definitely have an addiction to modifying everything with a motor. I've rebuilt several dirt bike motors, I've done all the mods to my Tacoma except CMC cause I don't weld. Rebuilt transfer cases, motors, and a transmission, wired up auxiliary fuse/ breaker box, tuned a ton of carbs, changed brakes and suspension. You ladies definitely make me feel good :bananadance:

I like women who do their own mechanical work. Women who drive manual transmissions are cool as well.

I've only waved the shotgun at a random that drove into my driveway all the way to the garage and told him to GTFO. He left just as quickly as I yelled at him about his speed and that's when I realized I'm my friend's mother.

So, this may seem like a dumb question, but does that allow you to take shots more quickly?

Not a dumb question at all. On my s&w m&p 9mm I suppose it will due to the fact that it will have a shorter trigger reset and over travel will be reduced. The main reason for replacing the trigger is that they are very notchy feeling and have a inconsistent reset from the factory. This mod will smooth it out and give me a consistent trigger pull. For my ar-15 I'm just trying to lighten my trigger pull so I don't think I'll notice much of a difference during rapid fire. It should be noted I just shoot for fun and don't think I would notice a 0.1 second increase like a competition shooter would
