Changed out the radiator bushings today. Used a cheater bar when my breaker bar was too long. Easy to do my old ones were shot.

    New ones.

Also relocated the rear diff breather this weekend.

Good work! I respect women who can fix their truck (men too for that matter).

I sprayed WD40 on the nut's about five minutes before I tried to take them off. I had to pull hard with the cheater bar but once they were loosened up it was fine. I didn't have a 4x4 like recommended but I used a floor jack and a 2x4 to lift up the front of the body enough to get the old bushings out.

This weekend I need to install my new Bilstein 5100's that will be a PITA since I don't have my air tools right now. They are currently held hostage in someone's garage :ballchain:

Changed out the rear shocks with Bilsteins 5100's. I used a little wd40 to lube things up to get the old ones out and the new ones on. It was a bit hard to compress the new shock so I dropped each side pretty low so I did not have to compress as far to get them on. As you can see the 5100's are slightly longer than stock.

Had to improvise to get the stock ones off. I had to cut the passenger side off due to it literally deteriorating. I kept the drivers side to use in a pinch if I blow a shock somewhere.

    Finished product.

Hey @jagergirll Did you remove your over-load leaf or do you have the old leaf packs and need the TSB pack with 3 leafs and the over-load?

I've been waiting for the new 3+1 leaf pack for a bit. They were ordered a couple months ago but still have not come in. I was going to wait on installing these but my ride felt unsafe due to bottoming out and the rear just felt off. Hopefully new leafs come next week like they are supposed to and these do okay until then. Sorry for the long answer.

Spray everything tonight with PB Blaster or WD-40 And just take your time and be careful if you're swapping the springs over.

Everything's been sprayed and I am swapping the springs. In theory it should be fine since everything will still be together when the tension is let off the spring. I couldn't find a local shop that wanted to swap them out. They wanted to do the whole job

I've just been thinking about which jack to use. I have Lil guy that I can control and go really slow but has a short handle. My regular jack is like a quick drop and I can't control the speed well at all but it is a long handle.

I love this thread! I have limited automotive experience and have learned a lot from TW. Switching out my UCA has been my "largest" project this far unsupervised. It was very rewarding and I learned how much I hate ball joints!!
