Tacomas don't get good gas mileage.

Tacomas with chin straps don't get good gas mileage and look stupid.

As you can see, EPA mileage numbers are rounded to whole numbers. Chin spoilers are likely to add only a few tenths of a mpg if any. Therefore as you can also see EPA mpg numbers do not have enough granularity to prove jack.d.squat. lol

I should add I keep my Tacoma chin spoiler on not just for the minimal mpg and general good looks, but to keep the nose on the ground when I’m screaming around the track at 200 mph. NASCAR cars proves it works.

    Work in progress...
It's not so much the speed, just wish I hadn't drank all that cough syrup.

So, why spend the time and money engineering something as useless as the chin spoiler if it doesn't do anything (as claimed on TW)?
SURELY the corporate bean counters would axe the fucking thing post haste if it wasn't a net positive across the whole fleet of Tacomas out there.

Let's say you get 20 mpg without the spoiler and 20.5 mpg with the spoiler. Over the course of 100,000 miles you use 5000 gallons of gas without the spoiler or 4,878 with it. It would cost about $500 to lose the spoiler with 4 dollar gas. Just saying...

The Tacoma's biggest factor in gaining or losing MPG is the operator. Some days I put on my sunglasses and hit the gears like speed racer. Other days hit the gears like speed racer without the sunglasses. I don't get good gas mileage, ever. This ain't a prius.

No, when people make unrealistic claims from sketchy sources is what pisses me off.

The real truth is the Sport gets better gas milage than the OR because the scoop increases air flow over the cab

I realize the gif seems innocuous but it'll get you a 30 day ban. Best to just take it down and don't even flirt with anything political on here.
