Got a free 05 4 runner blank but it has the thicker plastic with the chip....will this still work on our 1st gens of I get it cut?

I don't know of any first gens that needed a chipped key, so if you can slip it unto your ignition uncut then it'll slide in after it's cut. the chip would do nothing.
