Electric turbocharging? Not with a $10 fan. It couldn't compress the air enough to make a difference assuming it could compress it at all.

Think you're pretty much stuck with what the engine can do and whatever after market parts can wring out of the block which ain't much. If you really want more power and better fuel economy, buy a new Tundra. It has both or, if you'd like to roll the dice on failing cam phasors, the F150 with the ecoboost is quite a powerful truck. Both need a large garage though. I came from the F150 EB 3.5. A lot of power in that little engine. Always got 24 mpg running 75 mph up the highways. They put it into the current GT40 too but wring 660 horses out of it (vs 375HP in the 2018 EB 3.5). Used in a lot of ford's law enforcement vehicles too. I miss my F150 but not the valve problems. Maybe a new Tundra for me in a few years once Toyota solves the issues (and cleans up the lines - it's ugly in my opinion - looks like it got its bed from a chevy and it's grill from a hyundai). The 2023's straight lined grill looks like the 2017 F150's. That might grow on me a little. Anybody know if Toyota sorted out the issues in the 2022+ trucks?

That was exactly the point, the vacuum of the engine caused the fan to spin giving the illusion of a boost. The was no electricity involved and it was sold to people that fell for any gimmick.

A boost to what? Fuel consumption (lower mpg)? On second thought, don't answer that. I don't want to know. smh
