The chrome on my trucks grill is bubbling and chipping.... What's the best way to strip it all? Thinking I'm just gonna plasty dip it.

Technically chrome doesn't peel. Chrome is a very well polished metal. This is just a chrome paint. You can use aircraft to remove the chrome paint and add whatever you wan't from there.

Sand it down with 320 grit, clean it of the dust (wash/dry/tack cloth), wipe it down with a prep cloth to get rid of any oily residue, then either prime and paint or plasti dip.

Polished metal is polished metal. Chrome is electroplated on and can chip/peel like what your seeing here.

I dont think actual chrome steel or chrome paint has ever been used for bumpers. Chrome plating on the other hand is all over the place.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Sandpaper would be a good start.
