Nice build, coming together. Liking the RF rear bumper, I have their sliders, good stuff for sure.
I am looking at a Blue Sea aux fuse panel myself and was thinking about trying to locate it above that monster charcoal canister. Can you take a few photos of your setup? How much clearance do you have there? Thanks

    Thanks.

Yeah, I can get a few pics later today. I'll wait for the sun to come up. There is just enough clearance for everything. When I added the hood shocks, there actually wasn't enough clearance. Had to do a little hammer modifications to make it work, but it works.

Could you pull some dimensions as well? I had some written down before I left to catch a ship heading to Antarctica, but seem to have lost the paper. I'm hoping to find some scrap while I'm there and bend one up.
    Thanks

    Sure

Thanks for the reminder, I’ll get this done this weekend.

    Antarctica? I am jealous.

Thanks, I appreciate it, right now it's not so pleasant, been awhile since I needed A/C. Should be there around the end of Jan. I'll be there for 7-10 days.

I didn't get to do the short shifter today, but I did get to work on my truck. Since I got the plate bumper, I haven't had a chance... need... to reinstall the trailer wiring. Well, my wife is heading out of town in the Sequoia this weekend and signed me up to go pickup all the cookie boxes for the Girl Scout troop. So, I bought a 6" drop hitch, and rewired the plug.

I have Sunday and Monday morning to myself, I need to install ethernet cables around the house, but that shouldn't take long. So, fingers crossed, I will celebrate MLK day by working on my truck.

    Girl Scout Cookie Time!!!!
Sorry, not made with real girl scouts.

This year I have two girls selling cookies. To be fair, I am going to post the link to each of them and you guys can pick which ever link you would like. Just like last year you can have them shipped to you for a shipping fee (paid at time of order) or choose "Deliver the Cookies In Person" and I will work out local personal delivery. I can make a trip to the East side about once a week. I am located at 35th Ave and Greenway. PM me with your real name and order if you choose to pickup from me so we can work out the details.

I know Jacob from Colorado Springs.... I mean my anonymous Secret Santa will be happy to hear I finally installed my URD Short Shifter kit! I have wanted this for the 8 years I have had this truck, just haven't had time. Today, the wifey was mad at me, so I figured it was best to spend the day out in the garage. I have more work out there to do, I wonder if it is worth it to make her pissed at me so I can get it cleaned up..... hmmmmm nope!

Easy install. Although I did need to go get a new shifter lever bushings. The old one was so hard it wasn't coming off without extreme assistance. I haven't changed it and I will bet the owners before me didn't either, so 310k miles on the original bushings isn't to bad. $15 for a new set was worth it. I only had time for a short test drive... I like it.

Maybe now I can get to installing the rock lights I got from my secret santa LAST year. haha!

Last pic, I also swapped out my Yaesu FT-8800R for the Kenwood TH-v71a. It has backlit keys on the face, a big plus in a vehicle at night. Other than that, it has all the same features. I am trying a new mounting locations. I also changed out the power connection to Anderson Poles, I am moving all my ham related stuff to them.

Work asked me to have a portable ham radio, for monitoring events that have hams working it. I am a contractor, so tax deductible, I’ll take it. I decided to take this radio and build a “ham in a can” or go box.

It will have a 12ah battery, usb plugs, power pole plugs, and be in an ammo can for quick grab-n-go.

I have the main panel wired and installed (by install I mean the holes drilled and it mounted in place, everything has to be pulled out to mount anything else) and the battery mounted. Working on the antenna connection placement and radio placement.

Also picked up a power switch for setting up my base station. Need to mount my antenna on the house.

Picked up a new-to-me 50qt ARB fridge this week.

This will help for roads trips more than camping.

The 98 Triumph Daytona (Speed Triple) rode away on someone else’s trailer yesterday. Just time to clean out room in the garage and focus on the other bikes. Speaking of other bikes, the BMW 1100RT is getting prepped to sell. I am going to miss that bike, just need to move onto other projects. I am going to clean it up and put it up for what it’s worth, and wait until I get it.

The Sequoia got a new job, tow our mobile cabin. Picked up a 2011 R-Pod 182G.

No more sleeping on the ground or cooking in the pouring rain.

Finally got around to fixing the rear hatch in the Sequoia. Took out the old latch and wired in a button and electric actuator. I even put a button inside so I can open from inside.

didn’t take pics during the process, but it works. That’s all that matters.
