I have a 2013 Tacoma SR5. I've had the truck since November, but recently a "chirp" has developed under the engine. Chirp goes away when you push in the clutch. And then after a minute or so slowly starts back up. Chirp increases with RPMs in neutral. Don't hear it after first gear when driving.

    Could be the throwout bearing
but also check your idler tension pulley, you can take the belt off (assuming 2nd gens have more than one belt) if so and the chirp goes away...that's the culprit.

Chirp that goes away when you press the clutch is the throwout bearing. Common issue on Tacomas, there are a lot of threads on here about it.

Have to drop the trans and take apart the clutch assembly to access/replace it, so most people usually just wait until it's time to do the clutch.

Agreed if you push the clutch in and it goes away that points to the clutch throw out bearing. While your in there i would just install a new clutch kit
