My trucks fuel pump chriped for the first 7000kms, I looked into replacing it back then and there wasnt even a part # for the fuel pump yet. The FR-S D4S system had a TSB for the problem but I have yet to see one for the Tacoma.

That said, my pump has quieted down and its acceptable now. I'm doubtful Toyota will release a TSB for replacement fuel pumps over a chirp.

Mine started at about 10k miles probably.
The service guy that took my information said the same thing about the FRS. I was also the first one to have that issue at my dealer so it's not likely they'll come out with anything soon which is unfortunate

I may be missing something but I doubt Toyota will ever bring out a TSB or recall on the HPFP due to the known low number of complaints and to officially acknowledge the problem however, my concerns is about the "it's normal" diagnosis coming from all these dealers. Sounds like an internal memo directing not to replace under warranty. I don't believe it's normal and should be treated individually as a potential defective part. As my Tech. advised me who replaced the pump in my truck, it's unknown if the noise could be a preclusion to failure at a later date. I simply could not afford paying $1400 to replace it. If Toyota will not replace them, they should extend the warranty if they have confidence none will fail just like the transmissions found low on fluid. Best wishes.

They left some "tech tips" which were completely useless. I'll have to find the paper, although I think I crumpled it up and threw it away already. It was something along the lines of like you can only hear it in drive thrus or other enclosed spaces, and some other nonsense. I'm calling Toyota corporate today after work

Same, mine was really loud earlier this year. I haven't changed anything except put more miles on it. I always fill up at the same gas station even. I haven't heard it chirp now for at least the past 4 months.

I'm at 14k miles now btw.
