Hi guys, my truck squeals a little when I first start the truck kind like a chirping noise, it quiets down after it warms up and is fine for the rest of the day, but the next morning it will make noise again till it warms up. This happens only when the weather is really cold. They replaced the timing belt, water pump and all belts last year. I took it to an oil change and asked the mechanic and he told me the power steering belt was a bit loose. He tighten up, but couple days later the chirping started again. Just not as loud any ideas?????

Turn your steering wheel back & forth, if it gets noisier, tighten that belt. Same goes for A/C, turn it on & off.

Ok, weird thing it only happens in the morning when the temperatures drop winter. Should I just replace the belts with better quality one like gates??

No, they're just stiff. Tighten, but not too tight.

I'm gonna have to take it to the mechanic, since I'm not that mechanical oriented and I don't wanna mess it up

It's not that hard, but I understand. You want about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch of "play" in the belt at it's longest point.

Is there any images on where the adjustment bolts are located?

As stated, don't tighten too much. Loose belts will make a little noise, too tight will result in damage to shaft bearings and seals. Customers were always coming into my auto parts stores needing to replace alternators, water pumps and PS pumps soon after belts were replaced or tightened.
