Choccolocco 2-20-21

One of the best trails is 22 or 21 I forget but there is really only on "bad" climb that's rutted out and muddy but may be fixed now

 

My steering wheel was straight on the ride home and nothing popped or clicked. I should have hit that hill harder.

 

You kept sliding into taillight destructo territory. If you kept on you'd end up like mine or worse

 

Oh yeah my tail light is toast. Just hosed everything off and all the paint is missing on that side of the bumper and tube wing thing haha

 

That's what it's there for!!!

 

No doubt! Any idea why I stalled on that hill? Wondering if I need to investigate anything.

Nah I stalled on the backside and Brian stalled on the same hill you did it's weird. I think it's just from being loaded up then not.

 

But if we break at the end means fixing in the dark . How about no breaking

 

Stalling vehicles can be a bad thing depending on where you're at the time.

 

Yeah that's why I came flying down backside fast I was standing on the brake. It definitely went further than I thought it did

Oh ok good deal. That was a first for me. I’m curious to see what you do with your steering. I think that and the jd fab lower arm pivots would be a big confidence booster. If I went that route I’d want to go all the way and long travel it though.

Do you know the suspension travel specs for extended travel vs the jd 2.25” or 4”? I can’t seem to find any solid information that says “you get X amount more travel than stock”

 

Your the 3rd person I’ve seen that happen too at that same spot.

 

So extended travel is around 11" the 2.25" kit is 13ish and the +4 kit is 15ish. All of those numbers are dependent on where you limit your bump and droop and IF there are no other limitations like tires hard stopping on your firewall or whatever keeping you from getting all the bump.

 

Yeah now trying to figure out a car and getting a new rear under the truck and stuff is a little stressful since everything is closed right now.

 

How do those numbers compare to SAS, leaf or linked?
