Cool do you like the kit? Post pics of it if you can.

What did you use to cap the differential end?

    Wow that's dedication

Are you planning on buying extended CV's when Engage works something out?

They're two completely different types of kits for different types of offroading. AP is aimed at offroading/trails and engage at prerunning/desert.

I don't believe engage has a working 4WD LT kit out at this time either.

The way I see it, Engage pulls more travel than AP (3'' more), but AP is proven to reliably work with four wheel drive. That's the decision point - do you want the travel or do you want four wheel drive?

Im leaning towards AP right now, just because of the 4x4. I dont plan on blasting through the desert at 60, I do more trails and mud.

    You won't be disappointed.

Are you planning on installing yourself or having a shop do it?

    just a couple comfort items.
Do you want to run glass fenders up front? If not Allpro and total chaos both make 2"wider per side kits, TC lists it only for the FJ for some reason but I think it's the same Specs. as the Tacoma. That sounds more like what you want. If you don't go more than 285s you will be OK. More than that and you would need glass fenders to make it work.

Yea I'm more of a DIY person so I'll take a shot at this and Im mechanically inclined so it shouldnt be a nightmare.

Running glass wont bother me, 35's would be nice.

I'd be interested to see a write up on that. I had mine installed by AP.

I would if it came down to it but when I think about them installing it I start to second guess myself. They know their stuff so they would get it done in fair time. What was the price for installation and how long?

They did it in two days/16 hours of labor.

They asked me not to share the price they did it for on a public forum. I'll just say this - call them, they're willing to work with you in regards to installing their products at very attractive labor prices.

There are certain parts of the install that will be a bitch, like disassembling the CV's.
