99% of my winch use has been to pull others out.

That is my fear with the rack, I think I will use it but won't get used that much.

My best friends house was broken into, their spare vehicle stolen out of their garage loaded with all their belongings. 45 minutes later the thief's were caught driving across the Idaho border because their plate was scanned like they all are. I've got no problems with my state requiring a front plate.

Just a heads up, the stock rack is kind of lame. I think it has 100 pound limit. (I have it)

That was not the point at all. The point was Cali ignored a lot bigger crimes and says we will not prosecute . I’m just comparing a front plate violation.
I have plates on the front of all my Cali registered vehicles.
Does not bother me at all

Inside jokes on a forum that spans across all States and even different countries will generally fall flat.

Here I was thinking you were complaining about running a front plate and several messages into it, I still have no idea what you're complaining about.

Dang it. Now I gotta go out in the rain to get a Sonic milkshake. Don't have a Chick-Fil-A here so easy choice. And to OP, I agree with bumper first. I have both and use them but for looks, the SSO Slimline is NICE. It did take a few shots of vodka to get the courage to cut into my truck but it was worth it.

Lol I see, you must be from a country or state that fails to properly educate its citizens :)
Forums should Span appropriate areas and leave the lesser areas out .

Bumper, I don't think I'd ever need a roof rack. I'd also have to get a cap to mount a rack.

Of all the many mods out there, and I would like to do a fair number, a front, and then rear bumper are my #1 & #2 priorities.

Why? Because while you may use a roof rack, or lights or whatever else fairly often, real solid bumpers are crash / damage protection EVERY time you drive your truck. Obviously a winch isn't going to be used very often, but a solid winch bumper (with winch) is an added bonus :D. That's how I look at the priority order for modding, anyway.

In reality, my first mod will probably be the Redline Tuning hood struts, Husky floor mats, or something else which costs <<< than a good front or rear bumper.

I had my rack for over a year before I put a winch on. I've used one 100 times, and have yet to use my winch...although Utah winter is coming

Do what fits your needs, not what strangers on the internet say.
