Just my experience so far. The road and trail is performing better than the at3 4s. That’s based on about 15k miles of towing, rain, ice, snow and light off-roading. They have worn very even. Balanced well.

I hate that Goodyear bought Cooper but this tire has served me very well.

I gave my initial impressions in a different thread, but I will update my experience here. I previously had the AT3 4s tires on both my first gen and my 3rd gen, but had to get new tires on the 3rd gen over summer and went with the new Road+Trail ATs. The Road+Trails are very quiet on the road and feel very light (in a good way). I was initially disappointed in the Road+Trail's performance on dry dirt (I live 2 miles up a dirt road) and I will have to wait for the next dry season to see if I still feel that way. However, I have been very pleased with the Road+Trail's performance in wet conditions, both on and off road. They have done really well with the multiple storms we have had here this season. The only other mild complaint I might have about the Road+Trails is that I don't feel that they corner as well as the AT3 4s tires. I feel (and felt) more capable of sharper turns with less effort on the AT3 4s compared to the Road + Trail. But I do feel the Road + Trails are more quiet and perform better in wet conditions than the AT3 4s. These are my impressions after 5,000 miles in late summer to early Winter. I am also a grumpy person who hates change, so take my opinions with that in mind.

Decided to go with the Copper Road and Trail putting them on next Tuesday. Also doing Bilstein 5100 front and back as at 120,000 miles, probably should done this sooner but I was considering a 4th gen but I have tossed that idea out

I just had some 265/75 16's put on a couple days ago. It's snowing now so it should be a good test for them for the types of snow conditions we run into occasionally in my part of the country. I like the way they handle on dry ground and roads so far. Quiet and feel stable.

Yes! They handled great. Only need 4WD in one spot on a packed, steeped hill.

I think these will be my next set of tires. My “ street tire” Bridgestones got me to work and back home Friday but it wasn’t fun.

    Update….
They have even on the pickup since August. Before that, my favorite tires were the Cooper AT3 or the General Grabber ATx. These are now my favorite. Dry roads they are very quiet. Wet/Rain isn’t a problem at all. Sand/Beach they performed as any other at tire does. Muddy trails to the river for fishing was no problem. Snow, we don’t deal with a lot of snow in this part of Texas….until this winter. I’m happy say these tires handled 3 inches of heavy, wet snow better than expected.

Can someone confirm that these don't have full depth sipes?

Also is the tread spacing narrower or wider than the old Goodyear Wrangler Adventure tires that came stock on Tacomas?

Just put a set of these in 255/75/17 on my 3rd Gen and so far I love them. They do NOT have full depth siping, but that was/is not an issue for me as I don't spend more than a few days in the snow per year, so snowy conditions was pretty much last on my list of important considerations. I have been on tall/skinnies for most of the life of my truck now and see no reason to do anything different. I am coming off of Duratrac's that I absolutely hated once they wore about half way down. they got hard, noisy and turned to absolute crap in on wet paved roads. Bought these based on a TireRack review, but bought them from @Discount Tire (America's Tire here in the Los Angeles area). Paid $1238.01 for a set of 5 mounted and balanced. Passed on the certificates since I do a 5 tire rotation and the cost of the certs was just about the price of a new tire anyway, so I'll take my chances there.

Here is what they look like. There is a closeup shot of the siping for your reference.

Man, that siping looks quite shallow in fact. The siping also helps in the rain too. I'm in Washington so this is a big deal, and I also just don't want corners cut when I'm paying 200$ a tire. It's getting harder and harder to find tires that don't cut this corner.

It's possible that the siping doesn't go full depth at the edge of the tread block for stability reasons, but in this case I think it really is that shallow. This corroborates what I've read which is a shame.

So after 20k miles or so the sipes seem to cut as they wear. I’ve not been easy on mine (heavy foot and lots of camper towing, gravel roads)

Been a couple three weeks since getting mine installed and I have to say I'm really impressed. Noise has been improved over the AT3, and even is quieter than the factory street tires. It's a little more "floaty" with the steering, but I expected that. Been through some snow and rain, no issues. Road was wet the other day and a spot I'd pull out of I would normally spin a little bit there was nothing. Not crazy about the sipes not going through all the tread, but it is what it is.

Went from 245's to 265's which improved the look. $750 mounted and balanced at my tire shop.

    Stock for now
Purchased a set of these for our 3rd gen Tacoma at work in the factory 245/75/16. Previous AT3’s were just about shot after 40k miles. Much quieter and smoother.

I put a set of these in a 225/60r17 on my wife’s Trailblazer.

Man they are great. Smooth ride, it doesn’t dart around on the highway anymore, and is much quieter than the Hankooks her car came with.

They are slightly meaty looking too. Love them

Siping does vary from edge of lug (shallow) to center of lug (deeper). I checked with my tread depth tool.

Got 4 in stock size for 843.87 mounted and balanced out the door. Walmart.com had them the cheapest. I asked discount tire to match it online, and they even beat Walmarts price.

I was a bit hesitant on them because they look quite road oriented, but the tire rack test shows them doing very well on road dry and wet, which is majority of my driving. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=337 I like the aggressive sidewall as well, and they can't be worse than the stock wranglers off road which have gotten me everywhere I've needed to go. Plus the price seemed too good to pass up.
