choosing the right muffler shop

any tips on choosing the right muffler shop to swap out my muffler.

is this process just that easy that i shouldnt worry or should go through a place that does this mod, often for the experience, knowledge etc..

I ask cause there are hundreds of buget, midas, etc.

i just want it done right. despite it is just a cut and weld job.

It's a pretty simple job but I would still get online and search places in your area. I read many online customer reviews before I chose a place to make sure they had good customer skills, reputable, etc..

 

Go to a good independent local guy recommended by your friends.

 

yea an independant guy was what i was thinking i called and place in the lower mainland called muffler tech and he said it would be 250-300 cad for a flowmaster 50 to be installed. and he needs 2 hrs.

I questioned him on the time, adn how much the muffler would be? no reply ..yet

is this price alright for canadians?

 

Does that include the muffler? I paid $80 US to have my Magnaflow installed along with a chrome tip. I supplied the muffler.

 

If you don't mind a little drive there's a good place by me. haha

 

yeah it is including muffler

 

ide say find that little back yard guy if possible.my local back yard guy charged me $45 to cut out and weld new in.and in about a 1/2 hour out the door.got the muffler for $77 on line, shipped.
