You could relocate the shocks outboard of the frame. I fit a 13" shock in there. No bed cutting. This cantilever is very interesting though....

Because it costed me the same as a simple Leaf Spring set-up would.
Plus its better to have a truck that will handle better in the rear than the front.
A front midtravel truck with rear LT can handle quite a bit.
Think it'll outperform a front LT truck with rear mid travel. Dont quote me on that though

    Edit: just reread your question.
Guess I meant don't use the truck hard enough to need a FULL LT truck.
Then you also have to mess with glass, front bums, getting it painted, engine bracing.. gets expensive and becomes a rabbit hole.
    Been down that road lol

Yeah. It would have been really cool to have a time lapse video of the shop. Press play everytime we walk in the shop and was working. Then I could see actually how many hours were spent.

Hey man, do you have anymore pics of your retro? Im looking to do the same one but with D2S, how much did you have to trim the panamera shrouds to get them to fit? Thanks!

I have a ton, if you're looking for anything particular let me know. Heads up these one piece head lights suck to get apart and are next to impossible to get an FXR into. If you're doing a D2S you should be fine since thats just drop in and tighten type of thing.
Here's a picture of the Panemera Shrouds being trimmed. Basically cut it in half, this is with the FXR 3.0 so not sure how it compares to the D2S shroud size.

This was just a progress pic, I ended up trimming what you see on the table all the way around

Awesome thanks! Any tips on getting these apart? I tried the oven but they don't want to budge at all!

I just kept them in the oven for a while and took them out every so often to try and pry them apart. The only really side effect was the chrome of the turn signal area bubbled slightly.

The problem is the way they're sealed. It's not butyl like own headlights. It's a hard plastic that doesn't melt or give at all. One the second headlight I got frustrated so I just carefully cut along where the glue is with a dremel. Sealed them up with butyl and some clear silicone and no leaks yet

I don't remember, can't really. Cut maybe a quarter of an inch of the plastic housing away. I think if you cut a small square to get a screw driver in there then heated it up you could pry them apart pretty easily. It's really just getting them started that sucks.
I think I might've even started prying them and cutting the plastic glue with a knife
