    LOL
i came in here to see your issues with your front diffs, as i have the same issues blowing diffs in the dunes. i have blown 4 now and im tired of it.
always starts from the spider gears....
will a true trac make a difference in the spider gears?
i just got my first front diff that has a locker in it and it has an ARB, so 4 spiders instead of 2.... hoping it will do better?

    nice man!
ive been watching your truck from the very beginning. i love it.

    Thanks man.

Ya I believe the trutrac will also eliminate the problem with the spider gears for two reasons. Higher quality parts. The second is what I was saying with the carrier flexing and causing poor mesh with the spider gears causing chips in the teeth. A stock carrier is a cast piece that is made with big windows where most lockers/ limited slips are mostly solid ( see below). The big windows on the stock carrier make it susceptible to flexing and twisting under force and the spider gears will separate putting more force on the end of the teeth where it is weaker. This is why it chips. Those chips then end up in the ring and pinion and end your day.

Kit is most of the way in. Just need to do some minor stuff and cycle it to see where it will be bumped and strapped at. I decided not use the TC cam tab gussets and also am going to try out the Moog camber caster kit. I am just going to tack the cams in place after an alignment. Anyhow pretty much nothing on my truck lined up. Says nothing about the kit just that my truck has been beat on pretty hard.

Front is pretty much finished up.

    Full bump:

Ride height is high at the moment. If it doesn't settle a bit I will drop it a few inches.

Rear bypasses revalved to 75 - 30 and shortened the airbumps to 3" travel.

Bedsides are pulled off and should get them painted tomorrow. New Transmission showed up from Marlin on Tuesday. Hopefully get it in next weekend.

This truck may actually be drivable again soon.

Bedside painted and back on the truck. Hauled it over to Halo so we can throw the new trans in. Had to stop a few places along the way and figured I would snap some pics.

I have one month until the truck heads to the dunes for the season and progress stops. This means it is a sprint to get the last few things done.

1st: I think I probably will just get a front diff loaded with a ARB. There has always been some question of axle seating with the trutrac and there will be no time to address if it is a problem.

2nd: I have to decide on tires. I am somewhat limited on selection due to my 17" rims. I plan to run a 285/70-17. I am torn between. Which tires would you guys choose.

I love my mtrs! For where I'm at and the wheeling I do they just straight up grip. Now I have no experience in sand and have no clue how they would do in it so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

That's actually the direction I'm leaning. I have been very impressed with how they have done on buddies rigs but have no experience with them in the sand either.
