Thanks for the input. I will probably just keep an eye on it and add reinforcement if necessary for now.

Only down side to drilled rotors is dirt gets stuck in them.

It does. I had been running the old ones for around 10 years and no ill effects from it though.

I feel the same. I heard all about it when I got mine and haven’t had an issue in 6-7 years with it and I’ve had the truck buried quite a few times even though I don’t like mud.

I currently have a stock booster and have good pedal feel but my truck is not an ABS truck. I do plan to convert to GM hydroboost but the reason is to make more room for the engine cage.

Nothing but problems with mine. The clay we have here frigging sticks to everything and then it gets baked in the rotors, makes the brakes noisy and its a pain in ass to get out.

So I found a stump and destroyed a tire at the dunes last weekend. Which tires should I run now? What is everyone's choice these days?

I guess I need to decide if I am going to run a 295/70-17 still or go to 35/12.50-17 315/70-17 also.

With 35s would they fit under full compression of the suspension.

SO I think that I am going to stick with 295's and going to get Mastercraft MXT for the fact that they are really light, fairly aggressive, and cheap. Keep in mind that these tires will only be for the dunes and on road. I have my Toyos on my other set of beadlocks for offroad parks. The Mastercrafts are alot lighter than anything else I have looked at. The Maxxis looked like a good choice but is on the heavier side.

I had these as my last set of tires you are right. They are lighter which is great and youll feel a difference, the only complaint I had with them was in snow, absolutely terrible, actually overheated my transmission in the snow because the whole time I was trying to climb a mountain in semi deep snow and tires just could not grip. My buddy was driving a manual dodge dakota with bald tires and no chains and he had more traction then i did with those master crafts. Just my 2cents
