why do people complicate religion so much

 

i dunno, maybe they realize that there are so many scientific explainations that disprove their beliefs that they must come up with reasoning to justify them. no matter how intelectually complicating they may be.

 

Or those that just don't like the feeling of answering to something/someone other than themselves.

Scientific explanations? Oh, you mean those that have addenda that they want to proliferate?

And, just out of some perverse curiosity of mine, what are your qualifications?

Although it is not proof, a good movie for our Floridian brother should watch is Ben Stein's Expelled. It does shed some light on how certain adjenda's are more 'superior' than others.

That was because his teachings may have said that his mother was his maker. That may have been the chapter that insisted that men were fools and were not as good as women. You know - the same reason why Dad's are currently portrayed as buffoons like Al Bundy and why dad's like Jim Anderson of 'Father Knows Best' have been outlawed command and control left.

Just out of curiosity. I wonder what masculine/father influence was in his life during his formative years? Just wondering.

For people that would be upset for equal rights and freedom of speech, I am pretty surprised on how certain views like religious beliefs are currently trumped by showing everyone how the gay lifestyles and answering to no one is now in vogue. I am not saying that they can't have their own freedoms - I would just love to see each seriously presented instead of only one.

Will the mainstream ever get back to promoting things like loving your loved ones and staying faithful. Right now it seems to promote love the unknown people and don't be concerned with being faithful!

Sorry, I don't like this poll. It's a leading question like the media uses. Catholics believe they are Christians and I agree. Just asking this question shows bias against Catholics.

IMO evangelical churches have tried to define what a Christian is and in their mind if they aren't one of them then they aren't Christian. Christian's believe in Christ. Period. Evangelicals and all other Christian religions need to acting like Christians toward everyone and following God's commandments. That's what Christ would want.
