I was told by a local leo friend of mine that I should take all the blue lights out, and I should be fine.

I run mine on my front runner rack! Turn it off on the highway but the local cops don’t seem to mind on primary/secondary roads.

She runs. What more can I ask for?
Any ideas for doing this if you don't have the plug in the bed?

Thought of it after I posted but I guess I could run an extension cord into the cab through the rear window and use my power inverter I have for my cig outlet..

Yea PVC is the way to go. Easy to cut, easy to drill through.

PVC zip ties lights, maybe an extension cord and your imagination is all you need for this one.

I use a regular adaptor and plug the lights in the cab. I feed the lights through the rear sliding window and tuck the ones inside the cab between the seats

Showed grandson some of the above pictures. He wanted to do the same.
Brought a string of lights and he helped install them. Cheap seasonal mod $7.00 - Bright and happy grandson’s face, priceless. 2BB6C861-F2F9-4489-AD39-037FF3015BAC.jpgM

To attach the lights I used small black zip ties at each of the buckles on the softopper.

The lights plug into the bed outlet and exit the bed through the Velcro on the top passenger side rear corner.

They then continue along the exterior of the passenger side of the softopper secured at each buckle with a black zip tie.

They go back to the inside of the softopper through the Velcro at the front of the passenger side and pass through to the driver side through the Velcro on that side.

Then they go backwards along the driver side exterior secured with zip ties in the buckles.

They round the corner across the back, still secured to buckles and tuck back in through the Velcro at the same spot they originally exited.

I think this sounds more confusing than it really is. The martinis aren't helping.

Genius Idea... just no blue lights here... If I know ISP... and I do... they will ticket for any blue lights visible while driving on public roads

I'm pretty sure for Colorado, you can't have red/blue visible from the front and center of the vehicle and no green lights at all whatsoever..

The officers here wont usually bother you for anything dim, other than blue. Unless he is straight out of POST. But I dont roll the dice on it anyway.

Red green and white in the bed of the truck here would likely not cause any problems.
