Christmas bonus or not?

Didn't know christmas bonus' were an actual thing anymore. I get a yearly bonus but it doesn't get paid until March

 

Just depends on the company.

Seems like the smaller companies do a Christmas bonus. I kinda like that, idk why.

 

Gahhh! Nov/Dec are expensive months. Even if you try and avoid it, it's just nick nacking you everywhere.

Feel like I just made those words up, or is i a thing people say? Idk but you get the point.

 

I think Christmas bonus' in tradition have been more the yearly bonus, they just passed them out at Christmas time for that extra bit of cheer. Esp if you work off the Oct to Sept fiscal calendar.

I personally get a performance based bonus. I get one amount based on the performance of the plant with an extra kicker based on corp performance, and since I am a department head, I also qualify for an individual performance bonus. Both are tied to objectives set at the beginning of the year and equate to a certain percentage of my salary. So I could get 0-10% based on plant performance, and 0-10% based on my personal performance. Usually averages around the 5% mark, but I am pretty well set on my personal objectives this year thanks to some luck

At the plant, We all get a $20 gift card as a Christmas gift though.

 

The goal setting and the performance review process at my company is a joke. I will set my goals in the next week or so (for 2019) lol, and then assess myself before the end of the year. They don't even do a 360 review, I just review myself and then by boss either agrees or not and tells me how much my bonus is.

 

All dependent on the company. Our plant goals go through an exhaustive review process. My individual goals are set between me and my boss. But both happened last week for the coming year.

But this year I got promoted, and we set my performance goals in late October for 2019. Hence why my first performance pay is gonna be yuge.

 

Company gives one but usually get it around thanksgiving. It’s negotiated every year by the unions and the local Army command group and they say it’s based on meeting production goals. But we missed the goal last year and the bonus was bigger then this years when we met the goal.

 

We got a free ham or turkey and a case of Coke the day before Thanksgiving. Have to wait and see if we get something else right before Christmas since I’ve only been doing this for 2 months. Haha

 

I get a gift card for Stater Bros right before Thanksgiving to help out with the groceries and then get an envelope with a couple hundred around this time!

 

There's something great about an envelope with cash.
It's just not the same getting a direct deposit lol.

 

.70 cent raise. Bringing production rate up into the 30’s. 70 plus hours a week. No Christmas bonus just the last quarter of the year safety bonus

 

I got a $30 card for Thanksgiving because the company thinks they don't pay me enough to afford a turkey. They're right though.

 

We get 10% of our annual salary every year the week before Black Friday. And a ham. With over 11,000 employees, that’s gotta be a big check.

 

My ‘bonus’ is I get to keep my job for however long the company lasts!

 

Annual bonus paid in March. It’s a decent chunk of salary and this year it’s gonna be over 100%.

And zero Christmas anything... no party, no event, no ham, no red Ryder BB gun, nada.

 

No And fuck the tax return coming up!
That will be 0!

 

I will buy myself something nice....ish.
