Looking for ideas. We’ve been married 15 years and really have all that we want, I’m just at a loss for thinking of something thoughtful. We have a new baby at 42 years old so our hobbies have been put on hold for at least a year. She’s an Italian woman so anything that goes with that she will love

    Pasta maker.

Couple trips to a spa to get some relaxation and time away from the baby. [they do need that occasionally]

So, I'm younger and married for a shorter term, but I did just have a baby. I was talking with my wife the other day about how I wanted to find things that were useful to her as a new mother BUT that weren't a present for the baby.

She recommended a couple of accessories that go on our stroller we don't have, that would make her walks easier and more enjoyable. Also a couple of house hold things that she wanted. I did get her a couple of things that have nothing to do with work or the baby though that she could just enjoy.

Anyways, my point is this. You are 42 and new parents, I bet life is busy and she gets tired. Try to find ways to make being a mom easier for her. And while these presents won't be sexy, they will be useful and help keep everyone happy on a daily basis, which will lead to more sexy time in the long run than some new underwear:anonymous:

A spa trip with all the options. Lord knows she can use it with a new baby.

I’ve given her spa trips lots of times over the years so it’s kind of lost authenticity

Anything from Staub or LeCruset IF she likes kitchen stuff (otherwise never house stuff......like a vacuum :))

    Necklace or bracelet

Spa treatment is a darn good idea but yeah no good, covid has killed those here.

Even though hobbies on hold, think future

A good vacuum to someone doing it is worth more than you could imagine. The new dysons without cords and long run times are fire and any one responsible for housework would love it. My wife actually wanted a dustbuster this year.

That said, some new jewerly to show off after a baby and say "hey I still got it" wouldn't hurt one bit either!

A trip somewhere special then? Even with the baby. Don’t know how old your other kids are. Or if you have family that can watch the baby, maybe plan a day without the baby and set up some fun things to do together.

Pandora Charm Bracelet. Could incorporate the new baby with a charm representing the child. You can get new charms for future gifts and they are pretty classy.

We’ve never had a honeymoon, been married 15 years and have kids 23, 15, 13, and younger than one.

She obviously loves you because she keeps letting you impregnate her so that means she does want to spend time with you.

I think the getaway idea is a good one but just for both of you, no kids. Maybe a day or weekend trip to vineyard or a lake where you guys can get a boat and just cruise around and drink margaritas. Accompany the trip with a smaller, but still meaningful gift. Does she have anything that she uses everyday that is starting to get worn out or something that she uses and complains is "sort of" broken? You could always get her a better version of whatever that is to accompany your trip.

For future reference, make a list of everything she says "ohmygosh I just love that so much" throughout the year and when gift giving seasons approach just reference the list and pick something reasonable.

    What not a good idea?
I’ll tell you like my wife told me. If you don’t know what she wants after 15 years you are in bigger trouble than just a Christmas gift.

    lol

    Just kidding.

Get one of those $300 mixers Don’t cheap out on this... Get the Kitchenaid. (Unless she burns ice cubes and can’t cook)
