Hey guys, I lurk on here more than I post, but I'd like to try to plan a last minute gig. Im currently stationed in Colorado, but will be in SoCal for a few weeks for Christmas to spend with my family. I am the Colorado coordinator for Guardian Overwatch, a non profit group where Veterans help other Veterans and their families when they are in need. So heres my idea, right now its just an idea, but with some help from you guys, I think we could turn this into a reality and an all around sweet gig.

SO, I would like to do a meetup for ALL of SoCal in a centralized location that is able to host all of us. Basically, there would be a handful of different caravan/meetup points (san diego area, riverside/san bernadino, high desert, la area, etc) where locals can meet and caravan to the meetup spot. Once at the meetup spot, the goal would be for every person attending to bring a toy of some sort that we will gather up and donate to veterans in need, as well as anyone else in need in the southern California area. Id also work with local vendors to hopefully get some raffle items, local DJ's so we can have music and PA system, print shops so we can sell tshirts/goods for the event, and also coordinate with some food trucks so that there will be food/drinks present there. Also, if we can get this squared away in time, Id like to have a few categories and do some sort of awards as well, just to keep things interesting.

We would be looking at doing this on Sunday, December 20th, probably around 1-6 PM

Heres what I need from all of you:
-Potential meetup spots that would be somewhat centralized so that one region isn't driving a crazy distance to attend.
-I would need some volunteers who may be able to help coordinate, donate services, time etc to the event
-other ideas to make this an event that people would WANT to be at.

I hope this makes sense. It will bring us all together for a greater cause, and who doesn't like checking out other cool rigs?!?
