8th Annual Christmas Tree Build Thread - 2023 Edition

It's that time of the year again! Here are some pictures of my tree and truck from last year...

No it isn't. Bill told me at the time he handed the reigns to me that beginning of November was the best to
start; I started the on November 2nd of last year as well...

 

I staged the lights on my truck to get any idea of what I'm doing this year; I will not be actually decorating the truck until the weekend before Thanksgiving...

 

This is my first time using plug-in lights since 2012. My dad got me a Generac electric generator for Christmas last year, and I have a whole box of colored lights that I only used for a couple years, so my light display is really going to kick ass this year!

 

@Stitchgirl90 gave me two sets of colored lights for the truck that she has no use for, and I used them to test the longevity of the generator's battery life...

 

I decided to do just the bull bar early...

 

So the lights are ready to go on; I did the wreath and bull bar lights already, and the rest of the lights will be going on the weekend before Thanksgiving!

 

Our old tree was from 2008 and on its last legs, so my parents bought a new one from Gasper!

The house is a disaster zone of storage boxes, but progress has been made today.

 

Does anybody remember a certain house in Doylestown that is spectacularly decorated for Christmas...? I took Amanda there on Saturday night and there was a semi-public block party going on!
