Christmas wish list

If money were no object. My truck would learn to cook, clean and do laundry so we could just run off together.

 

And I'd be off sailing around the world and visiting all the sites of ancient civilizations lost... and checking things off the bucket list.

 

Which is what we are doing. Last trip was 34 days and included Herculaneum, Athens, Masada and Eze among other jewels. China in the spring.

It's why I drive a 5 lug. I don't need more truck, and we enjoy travel.

I have this image in my mind of being in the middle of an ocean crossing. And being far away from anything or anyone else... and just looking at the stars, listening to the wind in the sails, with the smell of the ocean in the air... and being in the moment... and maybe even experiencing a strong squall....

That's my all time dream tbh

 

I would convert my DCLB to a manual transmission.

Then buy a GoFastCamper.

 

We have a long list of 'adopt me' folks We are just ordinary people who chose to live below our means when we were younger and are enjoying the fruits of that now. Not captains of industry or trust fund children.

We came home on a transatlantic this last trip. (transatlantic #6). This was Barcelona to Miami. But my fav so far was Southampton to Boston. Via the Orkney Islands, Faroe Islands and Iceland.

I also have a brother in law who has 150 acres on Mosher Island NS, lots of the property being rugged coastline. And I'm about a mile from Tampa Bay and 4 miles from the Gulf here, so smelling salt air is common. Therefore, I enjoy going to the mountains for my change of olfactory tastes.

 

That's my plan... not the white picket fence and big house. Just a good Amel super Maramu or similar. And freedom from everything... until I have to stock up on food, fuel, make repairs... but it would be a dream come true...

If money was no object, I would trick out my Taco till I could honestly say I was done with mods. I would buy 250 acres in some forested mountain range (tbd) and build a large house smack dab in the middle. I would buy the wife her 1997 F350 7.3L diesel. And I would make sure that I could take @NunyaBizness on all my world travels.

 

I'd buy a Hummer. A real Hummer..... (Yes I'd buy a Sex Doll too).

And I would graciously accept!

Make my 4x4 Tacoma into a Ready-to-Race clone. Tacoma would rip with the 5.7 liter engine and its supercharger.

 

Oh man...can't do that. I'd really really miss my daily 3 hr commute to work, congested roads, overcrowded cities, extremely ridiculous house prices, high cost of living and then throw in record high taxes in the equation as well.
