    Is it possible to mate a 5.7L V8, or even a 4.6L V8, with a 6-speed manual?

If I had a 3rd Gen, and unlimited funds, that's what I'd do!

What about a 3rd Gen diesel conversion?

There's a rich woman in my area who has one of those (with a HEMI) and she gets it inspected at the local Toyota dealer for some reason.

I work as a detailer at a dealership (which includes a Jeep dealer), and I drive both JKs and the new 2018-2019 models all the time.

I hate to say this, but I like the new Wranglers.

My biggest grievance about the JKs, even the brand new 2018 carryover models, is that they have lots of blind spots and no backup cameras! The new 2018-2019 models have backup cameras standard.

Listen bro-ther. Get yourself a 17 4x4. It’s different than driving a 5 lugger, and tss is garbage. Pull the trig.

If money was no object I’d buy another of what I have now.

However, the Jeep Wrangler has lost touch with its heritage in my opinion. It still has the off-road capability, but it has become a status symbol.

25 years ago, you could buy a brand new 6-cylinder/5-speed stick Wrangler with air-conditioning, tilt wheel, and cassette player for probably less than $15K.

Now base model Wranglers are going for over $30K!

    If I got a 3rd Gen, I'd want a red AC SR5 4x4 2.7L/stick shift!
