I am guessing that one could also Plasti Dip the Bumper Caps as well??
Maybe scuff them up a little, clean em with alcohol, tape off and spray?

Or is that too much surface area, that could take more of a beating that it would eventually peel and look nasty?

You can try the dip for a few bucks and peel it off if you dont like it.

Some people buy black replacements and install so they dont have to touch up any dip.

I like the bumpershellz because the TPO is a perfect match for the center step.

Agreed. Textured Black TPO is hands down the closest match to the existing bumper centerpiece. Bumpershellz knocked it out of the ballpark!

And that’s actually the photo of my previous Quicksand Tacoma. Here are a few more closeup shots.

Couldn’t help but share a photo after I debagged and washed the rig. I should have never let this truck go.

What color is your current truck, cement? I wasn't sure if the truck in your color matched bumper pic was cement or a shadowed QS color.

I would have given you credit for the TPO pic if I'd remembered who I clipped it from... apologies.

My current truck is also Quicksand. I sort of have a thing for Tacomas o_O.

The picture I posted was terrible. It’s been cloudy, rainy in my neck of the woods as of late.

Plati-dipped mine, lasted years without fading just apply Chemical Guy's VRP and the black shines back like new.

I removed my badges and TRD sticker, I like the clean and uncluttered look.

What brand of tailgate letters if I may ask?

Ok, so this confirms a No Go on overlays.
Now considering replacing with stock OEM black emblems, or PlastiDip.

Leaning towards PlastiDip about 60/40. But I'll have to wait till spring and temps over 60 degrees.

I was thinking about getting the stock black emblems as well but have seen posts here stating they only are available in chrome as OEM...

I bought a base 17 SR and bought all the chrome from you guys who want everything black or removed.
I like chrome and opted for the SR with painted bumpers knowing I could get the chrome I would need off this website.
To get the truck I wanted would of costed me $5000 more and I got what I needed for less than $300. Im happy.

    Be sure to
Get the correct size and shape for a 3rd gen truck, the 2nd gen size you find all over Ebay and Amazon are smaller and have a slightly different A in the word Tacoma.

    Here's a comparison, 2nd gen on top.
    15485953475886524150208318269366 (1).jpg

3rd gen should look like this
