My .02 cents is chrome accents can look pretty sweet on black. We need pics of the truck...need to see what these chrome side steps look like.

The Tacoma community has it out for chrome so expect a shit storm for anything chrome.

In the end it's your call. Look at as many pics as you can and think of your build scheme. Like the old saying goes....measure twice, cut once.

    Black Taco Thread here.

I'm struggling with the same dilemma, plasti-dip black, or leave it chrome.

All the mud you'll kick up in the rainy season should take care of anything you do. :D How far does the tip stick out?

Having accent colors is always good. Why I left my chrome side mirrors and door handles alone.

Yeah, he was pretty thorough. Thank you for sharing. It seems like the guy with the beat up looking rims didn't put enough coats on them.

Do what you think looks best. After all, isn't your opinion the only one that matters?

    Like, so many.
You can do it yourself. It's literally impossible to mess up. I mean, you could, but it won't hurt your truck. Just peel it and start over.

You could go this route and just slap on some inlay stickers on all of your emblems from @rrentrop

    Accent colors:thumbsup:

Thanks for the LOL on that one.

Chrome sucks. But not so much that my old geezer ass at 51 is gonna get so worked up about a few chrome emblems that I'm going to spend weekends pulling emblems, derping or painting them, and re-applying. Chrome cheese grater grille....yes, I'll move heaven and earth to get rid of that scourge. A chrome emblem or two? Eh...maybe I'll get to it in 2025 or so....
