    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
    There used to be a company making steel bumper caps that were pretty solid- and I bet they’re expensive. I’ve tried to find them but they are gone. Anyone know about them?

    They probably went out of business due to modern car regulations of needing to be soft & plastic.

    But steel plate bumper manufacturers don’t have soft ends…I think you’re right in a different way, though, people probably preferred buying the entire bumper, rather than just the expensive ends.

    I've been looking for some steel bumpers too, the plastic chrome is really a joke. How much did you pay for that and how much does it weigh? Is it reliable to absorb hit or it's just for looks
