I like chrome to. As you can see, but I honestly think that would look stupid on a Tacoma. Sorry just my thought.

I had them on my '99F150, which had chrome front and rear bumpers, so it just extended those lines around the whole vehicle. Looked sharp. Also, mine were actualy glue on panels, not just stickers. They looked like someone did custom cut panels then chromed them.

My 2011 Taco has colour matched bumpers, so no chrome rocker panels for me, as much as I would like them.

That's what I'm talking about. The ones that i'm wanting are like sheet metal that is form fitted to fit your truck and they are like glued on! I think they look great on some rigs, they break up the plain solid paint.
My taco has a chrome rear bumper and the silver skid plate up front, so I don't think it would look that bad!

There's a rad red tacoma down here that has chrome stuck everywhere, looks horrible in my opinion. Chrome mirror covers, rocker panels, handles, etc.

    But it's your truck.

asking for opinoins on chrome, and then knocking black, is asking for some serious ribbing. i don't have black or chrome, i am just saying, you kind of got off on the wrong foot. :)

I know, I was joking about the black wheels! I like the black but I am looking for something different.

Be strong, Loaderman! If you like it, do it. I personally have nothing against chrome (nothing for it though either).

While I love the guys here on TW, they are complete sheep when it comes to "everything must be black" and "chrome is the devil".

From when cars were invented all the way up to within the last ten years or so, people paid extra for chrome and they were damn happy about it. They couldn't have all been wrong.

I have to agree. It's like most things in life, the secret is moderation, whether it's alcohol, chrome or black accessories. One look at Chris 4x4’s truck will show chrome used in moderation is very classy. Delmarva’s old SWB taco was the best color matched taco I have ever seen, very simple and (sorry Del) beautiful. But at the end of the day, you do what makes you happy, it’s your truck.

FWIW, I don't have an issue with Chrome in moderation. I really like the chrome grille and bumpers on my truck, chrome rockers are a bit much though, IMO. Like the man said, it's your truck, do what you want.

Me too. Of course IMO that is the right amount of chrome...more is just tacky. I went out of my way to get black tube steps rather than the chrome ones every body stocks.

Of course, it is your truck so do what you want. Don't let the anti-chrome comments get to you. Of course if you put chrome window shades on there I will personally find you and give the biggest bitch-slap history has ever seen. ;)
